The tour covers the modern city centre, the National Museum and the adjacent Snake Park, Parliament Buildings, the Railway Museum where old stream locomotives are exhibited. The tour includes a visit to the city market where a wide variety of African curios, tropical fruit and flowers are on sale, ending with a visit to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre view point which has a revolving restaurant.

A Boma means homestead in Kiswahili. Some 18km from Nairobi city centre we have the Bomas of Kenya where the day to day lives of the 43 different ethnic groups in Kenya are depicted through traditional dances and folklore. These plus an acrobatic show are performed in a splendid arena.

4 hours drive towards Ngong Hills by passing Ngong village to the Karen Blixen Museum of the “Out of Africa” fame which was for many years her home. Later proceed to the Giraffe Center to view and feed the famous Rothschild’s giraffes which are an endangered species from a specially constructed observation platform.

The excursion is guaranteed daily 12.30pm and 7.00pm. We recommend lunch or dinner at the Carnivore which is famous for its succulent steaks and barbequed meat dishes including game meat. The restaurant is therefore dubbed the meat eaters’ paradise, though it also offers a vegetarian menu. The meal is an excellent complement to a holiday especially as a welcome or farewell. The cost includes return hotel transfers.

The Park is only a few kilometers from Nairobi city centre. The park is home to over 50 species of mammals including four out of the ‘big five’ except the elephant. The tour includes a visit to the animal orphanage where wounded or orphaned animals are nurtured back to health. The tour departs at 8.30 am or 2.00pm daily.

The tour departs in the morning at 8.30 am. The Park is 12km from the city centre and is home to plenty of migratory game despite its small size, being only 114km2. The morning is spent tracking some of the many species found here. After lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant, continue to the Bomas of Kenya for a fiesta of traditional music and dance. The tour ends in the city centre in the evening.

Leave Nairobi and drive to the largest picnic site in Kenya, the grounds cover 54 acres. This is the home of the Stone Age caves and traces thought to be hundreds of years old while the river reeds have stories to tell of centuries past and people long dead. We have nature trails and campsites everywhere which lead to a waterfall about 10m long which feeds a dammed river flowing past the picnic site. Activities include feeding the Masai ostriches, bird watching, and boat riding ad fishing for black bass.

7.30a.m. Pick from your Nairobi hotel and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru lies on the floor of the volcano strewn Rift Valley and is famous for its greater and lesser flamingos. It is also the home to the white rhino which is an endangered species. Proceed for a game drive enrooted to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in search of the plains game that abounds into the park then depart for Nairobi arriving in the evening.
