Maasai mara Simba Lodge Hotel sits overlooking a dramatic bend on the bank of the Talek, River a tributary of the Mara River, gently blending into the surrounding Masai Mara wilderness. Stretching almost a kilometer along the river the grounds on the bank remain in their virgin condition, while the landscaped gardens filled with indigenous trees at the back draw a great variety of birds and butterflies. The lodge was conceived with an emphasis on exclusivity and comfort. It was designed to complement its surroundings and is decorated in Maasai traditional style. At the Mara Simba Hotel special care is taken to conserve the environment. The Mara Simba Lodge is the only truly environment friendly lodge in Kenya as it is the first to install a sewage treatment plant. The plant provides crystal clear water that is used for irrigation.

The 84 guest lodge rooms, arranged in clusters of 6 in each natural wood and stone Banda ( 4 rooms on the ground floor, 2 interconnecting rooms on the first floor), comprise 60 twin rooms, 12 double, 4 double single and 8 triple rooms. They all have ensuite showers, tiled bathrooms with natural granite and Twyfords, (UK) bathroom fittings. Each spacious room, which can easily accommodate an extra bed, opens onto its own private veranda with uninterrupted views across the river.

All the rooms have a magnificent view of the Talek River and the surroundings from the verandah. The rooms are big enough to add extra beds if required.
Mara Simba Lodge Hotel Restaurant
Mara Simba Lodge restaurant and bar offer first class cuisine. The bar has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and is an ideal place to relax after a day of sight seeing. The dining area, where a delicious cuisine of succulent meat dishes and vegetarian menus are served, and the bar, each have stone fireplaces, focal points in the cool of the evening.
Meal times are at the lodge are as follows:-
Breakfast is between 7:00am - 9:30am while lunch is served between 12.30pm and 2.30pm in the afternoon. The final meal of the day, dinner, is served between the hours of 7.30pm and 9.30pm in the evening.

A balloon flight safari can be booked through reception, for a unique view of the vast Mara plains. If
desired our professional naturalist can arrange a guided tour, taking you through the safest environments in the Mara. Kenya is also the best country in Africa for bird watching, with nearly 1 300 species. The evening’s feature game drives outside the reserve to give you the opportunity to see many of the varied nocturnal creatures, which roam the great Mara plains.
After a Safari game drive, the large, sparkling swimming pool invites you into cool relaxation. Nighttime floodlit viewing from the comfort of chairs set on the open veranda and dining area may reveal an elusive leopard across the silvery water. As darkness falls, the time for entertainment arrives and Mara Simba does it in style with traditional Masai dancers and a guitarist for a musical contrast.
