The Kichwa Tembo Hotel camp is set among the forests just below the spot where a famous scene from Out of Africa was filmed. This setting was also chosen to illustrate the motion picture's poster.Kichwa Tembo's two thatched en suite rondavels overlook the Sabaringo River, shaded by tall Fig and Ebony Trees.

No more than three triples per camp at any one time.
At night, Askaris (Maasai warrior security guards) accompany you to and from your tent. The airy main restaurant is covered with Maasai thatch grass and overlooks the Mara plains. Dinner may be served alfresco style outdoors, weather-permitting. Private meals are also arranged on request. Pan-African cuisine - both breakfast and dinner - is often served in the bush.
Great Wildlife Migration Safari at Kichwa Tembo - Kichwa Tembo is located in the Masai Mara and is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking to see the migration. The migration is one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events. Annually 2 million wildebeest and zebra migrate in a clockwise direction around the Masai Mara and Serengeti in search of fresh grass and water. Themost dramatic viewing occurs when the animals cross Rivers; they wait for many days and suddenly cross in a continuous stream. The banks of the river are steep and the animals struggle to climb out, therefore stampeding on top of each other, crocodiles lie in wait in the water, and vultures clean up afterwards. There are a lot of casualties in the river crossings.
Wedding couples can enjoy the magical view of the game-filled plains from their luxurious tented suite while being pampered by their personal butler or, if preferred, a private game-drive vehicle can be arranged for an exclusive game-viewing experience. Wedding couples are treated to private dining on the veranda, around the pool illuminated with flares, or on the edge of the plains, with romantic turndowns welcoming them on return to their elegant wedding suite.
